Italian restaurants, sub shops, calzone counters and Italian delis sit next to the pizzerias on this site because most of them bake pizza too, often from the same dough. Full-service Italian restaurants take reservations for dinner, add a tip line for table service (15-20% is customary) and usually run a cheaper lunch menu on weekdays. Sub and sandwich shops are counter-order and quick, with sizes by the inch or in half and whole lengths. Calzones and strombolis are priced like a medium pizza and are large enough to share. Italian delis and bakeries sell by weight and by the piece, and many close mid-afternoon.

The business lists hours on 5 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 11 am–7 pm. Note that it does not open on Monday, Tuesday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (336) 282-2855. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, giacomositalianmarket.godaddysites.com.

Greensboro is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Greensboro is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across North Carolina's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Love it!! If you're looking for a great Italian deli this is the place!!! Imported cheese and meat, house made sausage and mozzarella, all kinds of good stuff!

I was really looking forward to grabbing a great sandwich with my wife after catching a movie down the street. We decided to split the chicken parmesan sub, and my first impression wasn’t promising. The sandwich was only about 8–10 inches long and roughly 3 inches wide. For an Italian deli, that’s usually a red flag for meβ€”I’m used to the kind of oversized sandwiches that make you wonder how you’ll finish them, only to realize they’re so good you can’t stop eating. Unfortunately, this wasn’t one of those sandwiches. The bread tasted like plain white bread that had never seen the toaster, lacking both flavor and texture. The chicken parmesan itself was disappointingly soggy, with a mushy consistency that made every bite feel heavy. The sauce was decent, but it wasn’t enough to save the sandwich. If this had been a slow weekday, I might have been more forgiving. But this was a Friday night, when I’d expect the kitchen to be firing on all cylinders. On the positive side, the stuffed meatball was excellent and easily the highlight of the meal. The atmosphere also deserves praiseβ€”it genuinely felt like stepping into a little corner of Italy, making for a warm and inviting dining expe

Food was amazing and Authentic. Tons of meats, cheeses that are incredible and "homemade". We will definitely be back, both kids loved it too.

Great place, solid sandwiches, Italian specialties, and friendly staff. I got a antipasto platter from them 6ish years ago, and it was phenomenal. I also ordered two dozen of their in-house baked rolls. Friendly service, food was ready on time and all the guests loved it. Great local business, please support them!

Absolutely fantastic! Recommendations told us to stop here on our way back to Virginia from Charlotte. Grew up in Connecticut so I know my way around a good Italian Deli. Everything we purchased was amazing. The cannoli was the perfect ending to our lunch. My husband got the Italian stallion, and I got the chicken parmesan sub. Both took us right back to our favorite New York deli. We took sausage and their homemade sauce home to cook for the family. If you're in the mood for authentic Italian deli items, give these guys a try.
